BOB JESKA, Mission Assurance and Business Operations Manager
Bob Jeska is the MSTS Manager of Mission Assurance and Business Operations. He was born in Salinas, CA and grew up there before spending 34 years in the Army. He has more than 26 years experience managing engineering, contracting, and business operations in large organizations, world wide.
While Commander, Defense Contract Management Command-Pacific from 1996 to 1999, he was responsible for managing DoD contracts throughout the Pacific Rim. Work included oversight of contractor-operated depot level maintenance for the Services' fixed and rotary wing aircraft, repair of shipboard components, and inspection and acceptance of petroleum products. He supervised five senior executives managing 10 offices in Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Korea, Japan, and Hawaii.
As Commander of the White Sands Test Center from 1999 to 2002, he developed and executed an annual operating budget of $194M, and led successful efforts to re-engineer the organization in a manner that reduced annual operating costs by $2.8M in FY00. Since retiring in 2002, Bob has managed Army and NASA subcontracts at Ft Bliss Texas and NASA White Sands.
